KI is Sweden's largest medical university. 34% of all doctoral students in Sweden in medicine and health sciences in Sweden are at KI. The university is divided into three departmental groups with a total of 21 departments. Activities are conducted at our two campuses in Solna and Flemingsberg, as well as at several hospitals and other healthcare facilities in the Stockholm region.

Karolinska Enstitüsü
Karolinska Enstitüsü, (İsveççe: Karolinska Institutet kısaca: KI), İsveç'te 'da kurulan eğitim kurumu, Avrupa'nın enstaka büyük ve en prestijli tıp üniversitelerinden biridir. Ana kampüsü huvudstaden kentinin Solna ilçesinde bulunuyor, ikinci bir kampüsü ise Stockholm'ün güneyindeki Huddinge ilçesinde, Flemingsberg'in içindedir. Bu kurum fizyoloji ve tıp alanındaki olağanüstü başarılarına göre kişiler veya kuruluşlara Nobel Ödülü'nü vermektedir.
Solna ve Huddinge'de bulunan Karolinska Enstitüsü Hastanesi, bir araştırma ve eğitim hastanesi olarak üniversite ile ilişkilidir. Birlikte bir akademik sağlık bilimleri merkezini oluştururlar. The Karolinska Institute (KI; Swedish: Karolinska Institutet;[2] sometimes known as the (Royal) Caroline Institute in English)[3][4] is a research-led medical university in Solna within the Stockholm urban area of Sweden and one of the foremost medical research institutes globally. The Nobel Assembly at the Karolinska Institute awards the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. The assembly consists of fifty professors from various medical disciplines at the university. The current vice-chancellor of Karolinska Institute is Annika Östman Wernerson, who took office in March [5][6]
The Karolinska Institute was founded in on the island of Kungsholmen on the west side of Stockholm; the main campus was relocated decades later to Solna, just outside Stockholm. A second campus was established more recently in Flemingsberg, Huddinge, south of Stockholm.[7] The institute also has a Centre for Reparative Medicine, consisting of two nodes, one in Stockholm and one in Hong Kong.[8]
